Horsham salon celebrates ten years with refurbishment and new lease
A Horsham beauty salon is preparing to reopen following a refurbishment after signing a new lease, ten years after first opening on the high street.
Mooeys Horsham will welcome clients back on Tuesday, November 3, following a week-long makeover. Three days of reopening celebrations will follow from November 4 to 6.
The salon opened in August 2016. According to the business, its team has since carried out more than 38,000 sets of nails and over 17,000 waxing treatments, with more than 50 people employed there over the decade.
Amy Lewis, founder of The Mooeys Group, said the decision to commit to a new lease followed some difficult moments.
“There were so many times over the years when I genuinely wanted to close the doors,” Amy said.
"But something always stopped me. Deep down, I knew there was something really special about Mooeys Horsham.
“Signing a new lease feels like a big moment. We employ every Moo, we train them ourselves and we pay our way as a business. That’s how you build a team that stays.”
The business credits the loyalty of its clients, from brides preparing for their weddings to regulars returning every three weeks, with giving the team confidence to continue.
The salon offers nails, pedicures, waxing, lashes, brows and laser hair removal, as well as a membership for regular clients.
Clients with treatments booked from Wednesday, November 4, to Friday, November 6, will be offered sweet treats, a glass of fizz and a spin of a prize wheel, with prizes including a free treatment.
Amy said: “To everyone who’s booked in, recommended us or bought a voucher over the last ten years, thank you. You’ve kept a local business open and local people in work. After ten years, we’re just getting started.”
Founded in 2013, The Mooeys Group now has seven salons across Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and Berkshire, including a mix of company-owned and franchised businesses.
