Opta predicts final Premier League table - where Brighton, Brentford and Tottenham will finish

All the reaction from Brighton and Hov Albion’s Premier League win at Manchester City

Brighton’s 1-0 win at Manchester City last Saturday has many people asking, just how far the Seagulls can go this season?

Fabian Hurzeler’s impressive side had already thrashed Aston Villa and Arsenal this term and victory at the Etihad has them third in the Premier League with 19 points from nine matches.

Brighton are also the division’s highest scorers with 24 goals and have conceded just seven times with six clean sheets. Only leaders Arsenal have conceded fewer with five goals.

Albion’s start has been all the more impressive as they have had numerous injuries to key players and juggled the demands of the Premier League and the Uefa Conference League.

Hurzeler, speaking after the win at City, said: “The only thing we’re focused on at the moment is that we are in a big process – a process where we go home now and analyse the game and take the right things out of it.

“Then we try to prepare for Getafe. That’s another big challenge for us in the Conference League, a different game. We only try to go from game to game.”

Brighton’s next game is next Sunday at the Amex Stadium as they welcome Keith Andrews’ impressive Brentford team. So where can the Seagulls and their Premier League rivals, finish this term?

Statistic experts Opta have crunched the numbers.
