New burger kitchen to open in West Sussex town – and the grand opening will feature a special guest

Smash’d #2 Burger Kitchen has taken on the former Dave’s Diner premises in Surrey Street, and is hosting a grand opening event on July 12.

The doors will open for the launch event at midday, when special guest Big John – a food blogger with 600,000 follows on Instagram – will be there.

Smash’d #2 is the sister eatery to Smash’d #1, which is based in Ham Road in Worthing.

The Smash’d menu features burgers, dirty dogs, loaded fries, mini chicken fillets, sides, milkshakes and drinks.

Its Facebook page shows that at the end of last month it was still hiring for a chef, assistant manager and other staff.
