Hide AdA spokesperson said: “The planned temporary closure is to enable the store to undertake a major makeover to transform the store with a fresh new-look to better serve the Co-op’s member-owners and customers in the community.

“The investment programme of works and improvements is expected to take four weeks. Changes will include new, more energy efficient, refrigeration providing an enhanced range and choice of fresh and chilled produce.
“The whole team is excited to have the opportunity for their store to undergo investment.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience during the temporary closure, but will be really looking forward to welcoming the community back into their new-look Co-op.”
The Co-op is one of the world’s largest consumer-owned co-operatives, with its history dating back 180 years.
