Worthing woman wins hypnotherapist of the year title
A Worthing hypnotherapist has won a prestigious award.
Amanda Cole was named Hypnotherapist of the Year at the 2026/2027 London & South East Prestige Awards.
Amanda, who works from her home in Worthing, trained as a hypnotherapist in 2013 while she was working in corporate events. But it was after she got made redundant during the Covid pandemic that she decided to make the move to it becoming her full-time career.
She said: “I was genuinely surprised to win the award, but also so grateful and proud to be named 'Hypnotherapist of the Year'. I was especially delighted because the win was based on client feedback, my unique ways of working, and the values guiding how I actually run my business, which meant a lot to me. I definitely allowed myself to receive the recognition and enjoy the moment when I attended the presentation.”

I had a session with Amanda three years ago, after she reached out to me having read one of my parenting columns, suggesting she could help reframe any negative thoughts about being a bad parent.
Since that time, she has begun specialising in working with women – particularly female founders and leaders – on the subconscious patterns behind things like perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-doubt and struggling to trust themselves.
This led her to create The Inner Ally, a publication and podcast, to open up a wider conversation around the individual and societal conditioning women carry with them, and how that constantly influences how they see themselves, the choices they make and what they believe is possible for them.
She added: “The last three years have been incredibly fulfilling, but also a steep learning curve. Like most small business owners, there have been plenty of ups and downs, and I’ve had to develop a fair amount of resilience and self-trust along the way.
"The most rewarding part has always been working with my clients, walking alongside them and seeing the changes they’ve wanted to make. I still receive messages from previous clients telling me how well they’re doing, which is always wonderful to hear.
“Over that time, my work has also evolved. Even though I still support people with a whole variety of concerns, I now also specialise in supporting women who run their own businesses and are experiencing self-doubt, perfectionism and people-pleasing. That’s also led to the creation of The Inner Ally, my publication and podcast, where I explore women’s conditioning and the subconscious patterns that influence how we see ourselves and the choices we make.
"This has been very exciting and as a result I've been a guest speaker at events and on podcasts, run group workshops and collaborated with other businesses. I've definitely enjoyed the last three years and will continue building Amanda Cole Hypnotherapy and The Inner Ally into a recognisable brand.”
