The average British worker can spend a fifth of every year feeling unhappy in their role, and even one in 10 new starters can feel unhappy in the first six months of a new job.

Unhappiness in the workplace isn't restricted to 9-5 - it has a knock-on effect on Britons' personal lives too.

Over a quarter (28%) admit they struggle to find enjoyment in other aspects of their lives due to feeling unhappy at work, while one in five (22%) have taken work frustrations out on their partners.
