Nostalgia: Remembering the Queen's visit to the South of England Show in 1984

It was one of several visits the Monarch has made to the agricultural show over the years – she also attended in 1974 and again in 2002.

These pictures from the Mid Sussex Times archives show Her Majesty arriving at the showground, awarding trophies in the livestock competitions and meeting some of her fans.
