Appeal to restorethe church tower
ICKLESHAM Church Council is approaching grant making bodies in a bid to restore the historic Norman tower.
The cost of a complete overhaul is £63.456 and there is currently £25,000 in the fund.
Repairs would include re-pointing and replacing tiles, re-gilding the clock face and replacing the louvred windows as well as removing birds’ nests and droppings and vegetation growing from the wall.
Contributions would be welcome.
