BREAKING: Road accident on the A27

AN ACCIDENT involving three vehicles on the A27 is currently being attended to by the emergency services.

Three ambulances and two fire engines are at the incident, which involved a Vauxhall Vectra, a BMW, and a Volkswagen at the junction of Upper Brighton Road and Cissbury Road.

The roof of the Volkswagen, which had three people inside, has been removed by the fire service using heavy rescue equipment.

Traffic is still flowing, however due to existing road works on the A27 there will be delays.

There is no more information at present.
