The plan, designed by architect Nicholas Lee-Evans in conjunction with the Parochial Church Council, is to create a new church hall on the North Transept of the church.

The hall will provide seating for 150 people, a central cluster of three toilets, a kitchen and café area, multi-purpose storage for church usage and a relaxing area.

Brian Smith, chairman of the re-ordering committee, said: “There are three prime motivations for it; to provide a teaching space for our Sunday school, to provide a social space and to provide an amenity space for the wider community.”
