Burwash

Mary Taylor, Holton Cottages

Last Saturday we had a really enjoyable evening at the Harvest supper, held by St Bartholomew’s Church in the village hall. The ladies had worked really hard to give the hall feeling of autumn and the tables looked very inviting. We enjoyed a supper of cold meats and salads followed by apple pie & cream, coffee & mints to end with. Local international pianist Courtney Kenny played for us as we all sang along to popular music hall songs. Our grateful thanks to the ladies for all their hard work.

The will be another of the monthly quiz evenings in the Burwash Common pavilion tonight. Teams of six are welcome to go along and enjoy the challenge from 7.30 for 8pm. The licenced bar will be open. For details please call Karol Richardson on 01435 883318, or just go along.
