Cash available to help Littlehampton’s future sporting stars

GRANTS of up to £1,000 are up for grabs for the sports people in Littlehampton, thanks to Littlehampton Town Council.

Along with the Littlehampton sports forum, the council has helped develop sporting talent through its own financial awards, and now applications are again open to help the town’s sporting stars and future champions.

The financial awards for sporting excellence grant aims to assist those already at county level, develop their potential to progress further in their chosen sport.

Chairman of Littlehampton Town Council community resources committee, Malcolm Belchamber, said: “Assisting sporting talent is a significant aspect of the council’s work in the community and these grants often mean that sports people can continue to excel in their chosen sport and fly the flag for Littlehampton.”
