Alvin Satou-Boumpoutou, 32, was identified by the force’s Op Centurion team through a separate investigation into the supply of illegal substances in Sussex.A warrant was conducted at his home in St James’s Road, Croydon, on 21 November, where a quantity of cocaine (84 grams), cannabis (597 grams) and cash (£14,395) was discovered in addition to a taser disguised as an iPhone.All items were seized, and Satou-Boumpoutou was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, possession of a prohibited firearm (the taser) and possession of criminal property (the cash).He appeared before Lewes Crown Court on March 8, where he was sentenced to three years and three months’ imprisonment. A St Leonards man found with drugs worth almost £1million has been jailed for seven years.Danny Wilder, 38, of Vale Road in St Leonards, was detained after being seen behaving suspiciously by officers in Cloudesley Road on Friday, 19 May.He was searched, found with a small amount of cocaine and cash and arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.When officers searched his home, they found around 10kg of cocaine and 16kg of cannabis, plus around £30,000 in cash.The drugs are believed to have a street value of around £930,000.Wilder was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and money laundering and, at Lewes Crown Court on Monday, 19 June, 2023, he pleaded guilty to all charges.At Brighton Crown Court on Monday, March 18, Wilder was sentenced to seven years for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, three years for possession with intent to supply cannabis and two years for money laundering, all to run concurrently. A van driver who was over the drugs limit caused a serious collision with a motorcycle rider in Brighton.James Pateman carried out a careless manoeuvre turning from Howard Terrace into New England Road in the city.He failed to see a motorcycle rider who was left with no time to react to Pateman's van.The motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries including having a leg amputation as a result of the collision.Pateman admitted causing serious injury by careless driving, and drug driving.Pateman tested positive for 25 micrograms (ug) of cocaine per litre of blood. The legal limit is 10ug of cocaine per litre of blood.He also tested positive traces of cannabis in his system and for the chemical breakdown of cocaine and cannabis.Pateman was jailed for a total of ten months, and was disqualified from driving for three years and two months in total. A drug dealer who was stopped by specialist firearms officers in Brighton has been sentenced.Officers from the Tactical Firearms Unit were carrying out plain-clothes patrols in the city to support efforts to disrupt the supply of drugs.They spotted 20-year-old Fiorent Muharremi acting suspiciously in Clifton Road at the junction with Clifton Hill.He was stopped and detained by the officers for a search, and found in possession of class A and B drugs.Following an investigation by Brighton CID, he was charged with offences and appeared in court.Then at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday, March 7, he admitted possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, and a class B drug with intent to supply.Muharremi, of no fixed address, was sentenced to two years in custody in a youth offenders institution.
