Man jailed for sexual assault on woman in Pease Pottage

David Ball, of Chelmsford, Essex, was found guilty of attempted rape and assault by penetration and pleaded guilty to two counts of actual bodily harm during the trial at Lewes Crown Court. The offences took place on February 3 2013.

On November 7 he was convicted and sentenced to six years and three months imprisonment and will be required to sign on to the Sex Offenders Register for life.

“The victim suffered what can only be described as a horrific assault at the hands of David Ball. She was showed true bravery in pursuing this allegation and she now hopes she can move on from this and start to rebuild her life.
