Police across East Sussex to be more 'robust' against anti-social behaviour

Sussex Police are introducing new powers to the police force to help tackle anti-social behaviour.

The police will be launching the Safer Town centres campaign to help people feel safer on the street and will be backed by ‘robust powers’.

A spokesperson from Eastbourne Police said: “New powers to tackle anti-social behaviour are now available, including the introduction of Respect Orders, giving police and partners stronger tools to address persistent offending and protect communities.

"We will launch our month-long Safer Town Centres campaign across Sussex, and explain how these new powers will help tackle anti-social behaviour and keep our communities safe.”
