Day to remember at 02 as pupils perform in concert

PUPILS at a Worthing school performed at the 02 in London.

Sixty-three junior school pupils from Our Lady of Sion School performed as part of the Young Voices concert, singing songs including Mr Blue Sky, the Lord’s Prayer African Sanctus and a film medley.

The pupils also sang alongside former X Factor performer Stacey Soloman.

Emma Carmody, head of junior school music, applied for a space in the concert.

She said: “The pupils have been working hard since September in readiness for their big moment in the spotlight, learning 12 songs in total with actions.

“The pupils and staff certainly had a day to remember, it is not every day you get a chance to perform in the O2 arena.”
