Firefighters have been called to a blaze at an industrial unit in a West Sussex village this evening (Friday, October 23).

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) said crews are currently at the scene.

The fire broke out in Ford, near Littlehampton and Worthing.

In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), posted just after 5.10pm, WSFRS said: “We are at the scene of a fire involving an industrial unit off Ford Road in Ford.

“Please avoid the area to allow firefighters to work safely, and if you live nearby please ensure your windows and doors are closed for the time being.”
