The AA reported queueing traffic between the B2117 Brighton Road at Albourne Junction and the A281 London Road at the Henfield turn-off. The incidents appear to be causing separate partial blockages on either side of the road.

These traffic reports, for the Mid Sussex area, come after Sussex Police said officers were ‘dealing with an incident in the Goddards Green area’. At 7.50am, police said there were traffic delays on the Hickstead turn off on the M23, adding: “Please use an alternative route if possible.”

Delays are increasing on the westbound A27 at The Causeway in Arundel, where journeys are taking around nine minutes longer and traffic is averaging five mph. Northbound traffic on the A24 at Washington is also averaging five mph, with delays of around ten minutes approaching the A283 The Pike.

Near Horsham, northbound traffic at Robin Hood Roundabout is facing increasing delays of around three minutes between Broadbridge Heath and Great Daux roundabouts.

In East Sussex, westbound drivers on the A259 Marine Drive at Saltdean face eight-minute delays between Malines Avenue and Newlands Road.

There are also four-minute delays on the westbound A27 approaching Beddingham Roundabout from the Charleston Farmhouse turn-off. At Boship Roundabout, northbound traffic towards Golden Cross faces increasing delays of around six minutes.

in Surrey, two collisions on the clockwise M25 are reportedly causing severe delays – with queues stretching back to Leatherhead.

One of four lanes remains closed before junction 11 for Chertsey. Congestion extends past Cobham Services to junction nine, with long queues also reported through Oxshott as drivers divert from the motorway.

Elsewhere on the clockwise M25, a broken-down car has closed lane one between junction five for the M26 and A21 at Sevenoaks and Clacket Lane Services, causing further queues.
