Energy switching scheme hasnow been extended to Rother

AN energy switching scheme which could reduce household bills for gas and electricity has been extended to include Rother residents.

The collective switching scheme has been launched by Hastings Borough Council.

It works by buying energy as a community from the supplier with the best deal.

People can sign up now with no obligation.

The council say the more people who sign up, the greater the purchasing power.

Later this month a number of energy suppliers will compete to make the lowest offer in an auction.

They determine their offer based on the number of people taking part and people have until October 15 to get on board.

To find out more and to sign up, go to www.ichoosr. You will need details of your current gas and electricity consumption.

You can also email [email protected].

You can also visit the Community Contact Centre, on Hastings seafront, by the fountain, between 4.30pm and 6.30pm Monday - Friday.
