Eastbourne’s public toilet lockdown restrictions have been eased

Lockdown restrictions surrounding the use of public toilets in Eastbourne have been eased.

Lockdown restrictions surrounding the use of public toilets in Eastbourne have been eased.

An Eastbourne Borough Council spokesperson said all of its public toilets have now reopened and are in operation for ‘usual summertime hours’.

An EBC spokesperson said, “The facilities are open usual summertime hours, from 8am to 7pm, and are cleaned twice daily.

“The only exception to this are toilets on the Wish Tower slopes and at the Redoubt - these had been shut for some time before the pandemic and will remain closed for the foreseeable future.”

The council has urged people using the toilets to follow social distancing guidelines and wash their hands after using the facilities.
