Hassocks to Ditchling road will be closed for 3 weeks
Motorists are being urged to plan ahead as work by South East Water to install a new water pipeline in Keymer Road gets underway.
Construction is due to begin at the Company’s Keymer Road booster site on Monday (October 21), with the road closure coming into force for approximately three weeks from Saturday, October 26.

A new, larger water main is needed to ensure South East Water can move more water from its booster station on Keymer Road into the network and in turn, ensure future supplies.
James Smith, Delivery Manager for South East Water, said: “Although we are installing just 30 metres of pipeline, the new water main crosses Keymer Road and consequently a road closure will be required.
“This road closure is to ensure both the safety of the motorists using the road and our contractor carrying out this important work.
“I would like to apologise to motorists and the local community for any inconvenience this essential work will cause and thank them in advance for their patience and co-operation.”
