There were no matters under Planning

The plans are now available for the next phase of the refurbishment for the Village Hall. The Chairman explained that unlike many village halls, ours is not owned by the Parish Council. As such its Trustees are at a financial disadvantage as they will need to pay VAT on most of the renovation work and apply themselves for grants. Nonetheless, the Parish Council fully supports the efforts to refurbish the Hall and will give any assistance it can to make this possible. He was also confident that the Trustees would have the entire community behind them.

Every quarter it is hoped that residents will have an update from the Parish Council as an insert in the normal monthly newsletter . This in particular will include notices seeking community support for village projects and voluntary work such as litter picking.

The mole and rabbit problem in the playing field has worsening in recent months, particularly with regard to the former. The situation is now posing serious safety issues and as a result the Council agreed to employ a rural pest controller on an annual basis . It was also the intention to ask a specialist to review the safety of trees on Council owned land.
