Jenson wows the crowds at Festival of Speed

British Formula 1 driver Jenson Button was enjoying being at Goodwood today when he took part in the hillclimb event.

Both he and McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton are at this year’s festival, driving the McLaren-Cosworth MP4 which was built in 1981.

Giving a press conference in the Stableyard area of the festival, Jenson appeared relaxed and was in top form, still revelling in his superb victory at last month’s Candian Grand Prix which he finished in first place after starting on the grid.

Hundreds of festival-goers packed into the interview area to catch a glimpse of their hero and afterwards Jenson stayed briefly to give autographs.

Hamilton is expected at the festival tommorrow.

FoS fans enjoyed fantastic weather today and earlier guitarist Jeff Kollman played the American national anthem on top of Goodwood House to mark the start of the hillclimb involving some of the most famous Indianapolis 500 cars as part of a tribute to the legendary motorsport event.
