Klaxon and siren needed for next play

SOME unusual props are needed for the next Southwick Players production.

Jerusalem, the winning hit comedy by Jez Butterworth, is being performed from December 4 to 7 at the Barn Theatre in Southwick.

The players are hoping people can help them find a second world war submarine klaxon (diving horn) and an air raid siren.

Sally Diver said: “These are very difficult to find and we were hoping that someone may have these tucked away in the back of their garage!

“It’s a long shot but we are drawing a blank from our normal sources.

“The show is set in a caravan in a field on the outskirts of town and all sorts of bits and pieces are strewn all over the place.”

The play offers a contemporary vision of rural life in England’s green and pleasant land but strong language means it is not suitable for children.
