Evans has already sold out the O2 Arena in London as part of his UK tour.

Famed for his acting, as well as his manic stand-up, he has appeared on stage in The Producers and in films such as There's Something About Mary and Mousehunt.

A pavilion spokesman said: "The De La Warr Pavilion welcomes international comedy film star Lee Evans to the pavilion as a last-minute addition to our Spring season.
