Mascots to race in Fontwell fundraiser
Racing mascots will be one of the fundraising events at a charity race day at Fontwell Park race course.
The fun challenge will see an otter take on a hedgehog and a shark sprint alongside a squirrel, a toilet and a bar.
The circuit around the course will be among the entertainment at Southern Water's Super Saturday Irish race day on October 3.
Folk-rock band the Levellers will also perform live after a programme of seven races, a fundraising lunch, an auction and a raffle to raise money for seven charities.
They are: WaterAid, Chestnut Tree House children's hospice, Cancer Research UK, NSPCC, RNLI, the Sussex Community Foundation and Awairebear, an asthma charity.
