How perverse! Louise Goldsmith, leader of WSCC, states that the decision whether Gatwick's second runway is built is '˜out of WSCC hands'.

Correct, yet she uses her time (paid for by tax payers by the way) to promote the second runway - this despite WSCC official stance of not supporting the second runway.

If it is out of your hands Louise, then why waste your time and our money via your involvement with Gatwick Diamond in promoting it?

Your argument in response to the challenge by Sally Pavey of CAGNE in the County Times is deeply flawed.

Your involvement undermines democracy. WSCC councillors, representing the views of their residents, voted against the second runway, yet you persist in using council paid time to argue for the opposite.

As a fully paid up resident of West Sussex, I declare this is very, very wrong.
