Charity concert raises £800

On Saturday September 21, the popular local group No Strings Attached gave a two hour charity concert, raising £800 for the Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Centre.

This group of six talented singers are best known for singing a variety of well known songs with their own original arrangements which showcase their enchanting vocal harmonies.

The majority of the performance was acapella singing, including pop, folk and classical songs.

There were also solo instrumental performances on guitar, keyboard and wind instruments which added variety to the excellent programme.

The audience thoroughly enjoyed this delightful concert, which was held at the Brighton Road Baptist Church.

The Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Centre is a Horsham charity under the umbrella of the national organisation CareConfidential.

Trained advisors give support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy and also to people who have suffered pregnancy loss, through miscarriage, abortion or stillbirth.

The charity has a store where donated items of baby clothing and equipment are given to families who are struggling financially.

In addition, there is an education programme about pregnancy which is delivered by trained volunteers to almost 2500 young people in schools and colleges every year.
