Fun festive lights competition in Southwater

Residents and businesses in Southwater are being encouraged to submit pictures of their Christmas lights and decorations which will then be entered into a competition with the chance to win a prize kindly donated by Londis of Southwater and Rose Building Services.

“We’re looking for the brightest and most colourful homes and businesses in the area. If you have decorated your house, garden or business with lights, or nativity scenes please send us your photos now to enter this competition,” said Parish Clerk Catherine Tobin.

The winner will be invited onto the stage at next year’s Christmas Festival to help Father Christmas turn on the Lights.

Anyone living in the Southwater Parish can enter and we encourage you to take a photo of your decorated house, garden or business and email it to [email protected].

The photos will then be judged and all those that are short listed will be uploaded onto the Southwater Christmas Festival Facebook page and Southwater Parish Council website for residents to view.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Monday 16th December 2013 and winners will be announced at the Christmas Council meeting on Wednesday 18th December.

Please note that this competition is not open to Southwater Parish Councillors or Southwater Parish Council employees or close relatives.
