Fred McComas, Henfield Friends of St. Barnabas event organiser, said: “It was a great afternoon and the music was fantastic from such young performers.”

Sandra said: “I think people are surprised that young musicians can be so disciplined when it comes to performing difficult numbers in public.”

Patcham Silver Youth Band is looking for new members. In the last year they have performed at fetes, formal concerts and during the Henfield Gardens and Arts festival.

In February they won the ensemble prize at the Southern Counties Amateur Band Association Quartets and Ensembles competition.’
