LETTER: Caring is loving, loving is caring

Recently so much is reported in the media about neglects experienced in and around hospitals by patients especially with those having dementia and terminally ill. This has attracted my interest in expressing my thought about what actually is care.

To care for someone, we need empathy, commitment and love. You will wish to feel the pain along with such patient which makes you do your very best within human ability to alleviate pains the patient is going through.

Let’s care more about improved research as well as facilities that will assist higher care standards wether it be within NHS, proprietary hospitals, nursing homes or emergency room services.

Every little from all of us adds up in bringing smiles to the sick in our society.
