LETTER: Sorry, it was a genuine mistake

I would like to apologise on behalf of the Council for the overflowing dog waste bin that was pictured in the Mid Sussex Times last week.

Our five dog waste bins in Victoria Park are all emptied regularly (every Wednesday) but on this occasion our contractor missed one of the bins. This was a genuine mistake and all the excess waste was collected as soon as we became aware of the issue.
