Pennthorpe School in Rudgwick has an enviable reputation for success. Over the past two years the co-educational independent school has won over 40 scholarships to top independent schools, including Wellington, Brighton College and Christ’s Hospital.

Now the school is announcing a new scholarship scheme for children entering Year 7 in September 2015. These awards will be offered to pupils who demonstrate outstanding potential in the classroom or in the areas of sport, performing and creative arts. Candidates who demonstrate a number of strengths will be considered for an all-round award.

Headmaster Matthew King said, “We are seeing an increased interest from parents at this age. We have a reputation as a springboard to success and so pupils are now joining us from both the state and independent sectors to get that boost that we can provide which ensures entrance success and scholarship awards to the top rated senior schools.”
