Welcome to ghost town Eastbourne

We drove to Eastbourne town centre to try and support our local high street shops after staying in during the pandemic since March.

When we arrived I noticed plenty of available parking which I though was strange for 11am, after parking I realised why, the price to park had doubled from £2 to £3.95.

We decided to drive to Bexhill have a stroll along the front look around the shops and have a coffee and most important park for free.

Eastbourne used to be a lovely place to shop but thanks to our council every decision it makes is another step to becoming a ghost town.

I cant wait for there decision regarding cycle lanes along the sea front, how many hotels will close,

Walking along Terminus Road from the train station to the shops for a tourist or OAP is a lottery whether you make it or not, the lovely grey pathed walkway looks like a pedestrian zone but watch out there’s a bus behind you.

But probably the most ridiculous decision of all is hunt the tourist centre.
