Writer, director and actor Tom Beard said: “Get ready for a magical adventure packed with sparkling fairy dust, wicked stepsisters, a handsome Prince, a magical transformation and, of course, one very special glass slipper! Will Cinderella make it to the ball? Will the Fairy Godmother save the day? And will the clock striking midnight bring the whole adventure crashing down? There’s only one way to find out!
“This spectacular pantomime has all the ingredients you could wish for in a traditional family Christmas treat, with laugh-out-loud comedy, dazzling costumes, catchy songs, plenty of audience participation and more than a little bit of silliness!”
Tom added: “LP Creatives are known for their energetic, entertaining pantomimes, bringing together professional production values, colourful characters and plenty of surprises to create a festive experience for audiences of all ages. Cinderella promises to be no exception, with a magical story that has delighted generations of families given a fresh, fun-filled pantomime twist. Expect cheeky comedy, a little romance, plenty of festive sparkle and all the classic moments audiences love, including the chance to help Cinderella on her way to a happily-ever-after.”
Tom said: “Cinderella is one of those wonderful stories that everybody knows and loves, which makes it absolutely perfect for pantomime. It has magic, romance, larger-than-life characters and so many opportunities for comedy – and we intend to make the most of every single one of them!
“We’re delighted to be bringing our pantomime to Ropetackle Arts Centre this Christmas. There’s something really special about seeing families come together to enjoy live theatre, with children shouting at the stage, grown-ups joining in and everybody sharing a good laugh.”
Venue manager Lorna Price added: “Our aim is always to create a proper, traditional pantomime with plenty of surprises, brilliant performances and those memorable moments that people talk about long after they’ve left the theatre. Whether you’re a regular panto-goer or bringing little ones to their very first show, we want everybody to leave with a smile on their face.
“Returning this year are James Austin-Harvey as one of the uglies Boomer Hardup and Sarah Booker who plays this year’s Fairy Godmother. With colourful costumes, a magical fairy-tale world and a generous helping of pantomime mischief, Cinderella promises to be a festive treat for the whole family.”
The cast will be: Fairy Godmother/Dandini – Sarah Booker; Cinderella – Amber Atkins; Buttons/Baroness Hardup – Tommy Murray; Boomer Hardup – James Austin-Harvey
Pitbull Hardup – William Hastings; Prince Charming/Baron for the prologue – Matt Dixon.
Writer – Tom Beard; director – Lorna Price/James Austin-Harvey; musical director – Ritchie Chappell.
