Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce’s past presidents met up for lunch for the first time in six years. Christina Ewbank, a past president and current chief executive of the Chamber said: "We were very well looked after by our members Hardy and Jordan Ovaisi at Cru in Hyde Gardens and discussed the challenges facing the town since the pandemic. On Saturday October 9 the 11th Eastbourne Scout group welcomed Mayor of Eastbourne Pat Rodahan and Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell to the re-opening of their Scout headquarters in Priory Road, Langney. Over recent months their HQ has undergone substantial repairs and redecoration, with much of the work being carried out by volunteers coordinated by the group’s executive committee. Twin sisters from Eastbourne, Carys and Sian Clarke,17, are one step closer to achieving their dream of becoming professional performers after they both secured a place at Liverpool Theatre School. The dynamic duo danced their way onto an elite professional training programme at the prestigious stage school by impressing the audition panel with a series of exceptional performances.
