Aerial photos show caravans and motorhomes parked on grass at Preston Park in Brighton

The images, which were sent to this newspaper at about 2.45pm show several cars on the grass as well.

This is not the first time caravans have parked at the site, which is a popular place for families during the Easter weekend.

In May 2022, for example, Brighton and Hove City Council said they were aware of an ‘unauthorised encampment’ and said police had been asked to use their powers to move them on.

Sussex Police and Brighton and Hove City Council have been approached for comment.
