Wadars in Ferring, West Sussex, cares for cats, dogs, rabbits and other small animals at its rescue centre – so, whether you’re a cat person or a dog person, or you prefer a much smaller four-legged friend, there might just be a pet for you here!
The charity has been rehoming pets and rescuing wildlife since 1969 and has many adorable animals currently looking for homes.

All information and photos come from Wadars.

9. Lucy - 13 year old Persian
Wadars said all Lucy wants is a bit of love and attention. She is deaf but that doesn’t stop her meowing for her dinner! Due to her age and breed, she will need a little more TLC, and is looking for a quiet home with no children or other pets. She would like to have supervised outside access to a secure garden where she can laze around and sunbathe. Photo: Wadars

10. Bandit - seven year old Longhaired
Seven year old Bandit is a big bundle of fluff and love! Wadars said he is very sweet natured and loves having as much attention as he can get. He loves his food and will be vocal for it, so he will not let you forget dinner time. The charity is looking for a home without other pets for Bandit. Photo: Wadars

11. Mimi - eight year old longhaired
Mimi loves getting affection from the staff and volunteers at Wadars. She was a little stressed when she first arrived at the rescue, but slowly gained her confidence in the cattery and is now a very loving cat. She is looking for a quiet home without children or other animals. Photo: Wadars

12. Winnie - 12 years old
Winnie is a very popular resident in the cattery with staff and volunteers alike. Wadars said she is quite a character - she loves to hide under her favourite blanket and make staff double-check that she is actually in her pen! She has a very calm nature and is best described as a ‘vocal sweetheart’ who makes sure that everyone knows if she feels she has not received enough love for the day. Unfortunately, like many older cats, Winnie does have kidney disease, but the condition is currently controlled through her diet, and for now she does not require any medication. She is doing really well on this diet and is currently stable, but she may well may need extra vet visits in the future. Potential adopters can speak to the rescue for further information before applying to adopt if they would like. Photo: Wadars
