Are you considering adopting a dog?
Arundawn Dog Rescue, in Horsham, is caring for several pups who are desperate for homes of their own.
The charity focuses largely on providing rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for strays who are sadly facing euthanasia through no fault of their own.
If you could give any of the dogs below a loving home, visit: www.arundawndogrescue.co.uk.

9. Bear - two-year-old crossbreed
Bear is in search of a rural forever home with adopters who have experience with larger dogs. He has been described by Arundawn as 'a loveable oaf' who can be a bit much for other dogs, despite being friendly. He could live by himself or with another big, calm and friendly dog following careful introductions. Bear can be an anxious boy and will follow his people around the house as he doesn't like to be on his own. He is very affectionate and loves attention. Arundawn says Bear is gentle with children and enjoys their company. He has not been assessed with cats. Photo: Arundawn

10. Xena - five year old Staffie cross Rottweiler
Xena has been described by Arundawn as 'the sweetest and gentlest dog'. She can be reactive to other dogs but this is fear-based - she has has a difficult and 'unsettled' time recently, the rescue said. Due to this, she may not be able to live with another dog, unless the resident dog was a young male and well-suited. The rescue added: "This dog is simply gorgeous and in the right home will shine - she deserves a chance." Photo: Arundawn

11. Felix - 18 month old Lurcher
Felix is 'an absolute sweetheart' who is looking for his forever home. He will need an active home with at least one other dog. His foster carer said there will be a settling in period 'where he comes to terms with his environment' but the result will be 'well worth it'. He is a big loveable lump who walks well on the lead but you will also need to be able to control him if a squirrel or cat is seen! Ideally he would be suited to an active household (as he loves long walks) where someone is about most of the time. Photo: Arundawn
