Car encased in scaffolding amid Sussex parking row

Inspector Darren Taylor of Mid Sussex Police said an investigation is ongoing after the trapped car was reported in the Beech Hill area of Haywards Heath.

A trailer has been cemented into the ground next to the vehicle before the cage was built, according to Inspector Taylor.

He added: “I know this job throws up many different things but I have never seen anything like it before.”
The parties involved are being spoken to about the dispute, which is believed to be over a park space, Inspector Taylor said.

He added: “My team are looking into what offences if any need to be investigated.”
