13. Mac - one year old bull-breed cross
Mac is a friendly, exuberant boy who is still very much a pup! Despite his young and playful temperament, Mac is a big boy who weighs around 34kg - the RSPCA said he just wants to be loved but sometimes doesn’t realise how big and strong he can be! Mac can be quite sound sensitive and a slightly stern or raised voice can be terrifying to him. He responds well to praise, physical contact and treats and is already learning new things. Mac likes toys, especially a rope or soft toy and will race around with them. Once he is fully assessed, he will be looking for an experienced, large breed owner. He will need an active home with someone prepared to put time into his training, and will need housetraining and his own secure garden. Photo: RSPCA

14. Hank - two year old Cane Corso
During his time at the RSPCA, Ralph has matured from a worried adolescent into a big, cheeky, young adult. He is a very clever boy who loves to learn new things but still has his daft, clumsy moments. He knows many commands, such as: sit, down, paw, spin, speak, stay, come, leave, here, kisses and his name. Ralph is very wary of strangers and needs gentle, slow introductions when meeting new people. However, once you have gained his trust he becomes a big, soppy, cuddly boy! He will ideally need to be the only pet in the home but, depending on the circumstances, the RSPCA may consider him living with a large female dog. Ralph requires a quiet, adult-only home with a large garden abd an owner experienced with large bull breeds. Photo: RSPCA

15. Rolo - 12 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Rolo was previously adopted from the RSPCA in 2015 but, sadly, his owner has now passed away and he has returned to the shelter. The charity said he was cared for very well by his previous owner and this is apparent in his sweet and gentle personality. He loves nothing more then spending time off lead with both human and furry friends in the shelter's field. At 12 years old, Rolo has a few medical issues and is looking for an 'end of life' foster carer who can monitor his health, administer his daily medication, and let him enjoy the rest of his days living in a nice warm home getting all the love and attention he deserves! 16. Layla - six years old
Layla is a a Bull-Lurcher who is really struggling with kennel life after arriving at the rescue due to her old owners no longer being able to care for her. Layla showx many traits of her breed - she is high energy and playful, loves a sniff and a walk - as long as it is not raining! Otherwise you can find her curled up in a duvet. RSPCA is looking for a home with no young children, but can live with older teenagers who are used to be around dogs. New owners with a good understanding of dog behaviour and a keen interest in positive reward based training is a must. Photo: RSPCA
