5. Mercia - four years old
Mercia is a 'bouncy' and 'lovely natured' Rottweiler cross Lurcher. One of her walkers at the rescue centre described her as 'delightful' and full of character and joy. She is unsure of other dogs but is well-behaved on the lead and happy to let other canines pass while out on a walk. She will make someone a great, and very sweet, companion. Photo: Rescue Remedies
6. Toby - ten years old
Toby is a beautiful, 'scruffy' Patterdale with the 'cutest, cheekiest smile' according to his dog walkers. He takes treats beautifully and loves a head rub. He can be reactive to other dogs outside but does settle with known dogs on a lead. He cannot live with children but would suit an owner who is experienced with terriers in a quiet home. They must also have a 'terrier-proof' garden. His walker said he would make a lovely friend to whoever is lucky enough to give him a home. Photo: Rescue Remedies
7. Lenny - seven years old
Lenny is a lurcher who has proved a great companion on his regular foster breaks. He loves all people and is a gentle soul. He walks with slack leads and rarely pulls. He enjoys nothing more than lying around surrounded by people. He is opportunistic when it comes to food. Photo: Rescue Remedies
8. Roxy - seven years old
Roxy is a lovely people friendly staffie mastiff. Good with other dogs out on walks but needs an only dog home. She can be strong at times on walks but this could just be the stress of kennels. Photo: Rescue Remedies
