9. Lola - Shar Pei crossbreed
Loveable Lola is looking for an active, adult-only family, with patient adopters who can take the time to get to know her gradually. Her perfect match would be those who have the interest to teach their furry-friend new skills, and who can commit plenty of time to her ongoing training. She can be a sensitive pooch at times, so her ideal home would be somewhere calm and peaceful, where she can settle at her own pace. She can be overwhelmed when other dogs come too close to her and would best be suited to quieter walking areas, away from the hustle and bustle of busy town centres or dog parks. Lola must be the only pet in her new home and will need to wear her muzzle when out in public. She is fully muzzle-trained and has learnt to wear this using positive reinforcement training. A garden of her own would be preferred so that she could enjoy a good, off-lead run about. Photo: Dogs Trust

10. Scooby - Greyhound
Scooby is described as a gentle giant with an adorably sweet, yet very sensitive temperament. He much prefers the quieter side of life and would love to find a family who could embrace his docile character, support him with some confidence building, and provide him with the peaceful home that he longs for. Due to his nervous nature, Scooby would best be suited to an adult-only household, with minimal visitors and no visiting children. He is currently residing with his good friend Maggy and would be happy to continue living with her if the right home comes along. A garden of his own is essential, as Scooby may not wish to venture away from his home in the initial stages of settling in. Photo: Dogs Trust

11. Belle - seven-year-old French Bulldog
Belle is a sweet pup with a sensitive side. Dogs Trust says she's a loveable lady and enjoys spending time with her humans but can be timid at first and prefers to build up a bond at her own pace. Once she knows you well, she’ll begin to show her affectionate side. She finds it challenging when people come too close when she’s eating and has a history of resource guarding behaviours. Because of this, she would best be suited to a family where the youngest members are in their later teens and understand that she’ll need her space occasionally. Belle is a sociable girl when it comes to mixing with other dogs and would enjoy walking buddies with other calm-natured canines. She must be the only pet at home. Photo: Dogs Trust

12. Brian - two-year-old crossbreed
Brian is a fun-loving Terrier with tonnes of playful energy and a super-smart brain. Although he is only a youngster at two-years-old, Brian has sadly spent over half of his life in kennels. His perfect setup would be somewhere quiet and peaceful, where he could relax in the company of an adult-only family. He is happy to have canine walking buddies but will need to be the only pet at home as he finds it challenging when it comes to sharing. Likewise, Brian would benefit from an undisturbed area of the house where he can take himself off to rest, or where he could go to for his mealtimes. A secure garden of his own to zoom about in is essential. Photo: Dogs Trust
