Eastbourne Airshow voted UK’s best free show for sixth year

Many of the displays performing over Eastbourne this summer were winners too, with the RAF Red Arrows topping the bill in the Best Display Team category, and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Royal Navy Black Cats in second and third place.

The RAF Typhoon also picked up the Best Solo Display award with crowd-favourite Rich Goodwin as runner-up.

Eastbourne Borough Council’s Lead Member for Tourism & Place Cllr Jenny Williams said: “Securing our sixth Best Free Airshow crown is no mean feat and is a testament to all of the hard work undertaken by teams across the Council and our many partners, sponsors and volunteers involved in the event.

“We’re looking forward to building upon this year’s amazing success, but we can only do this with your help, through sponsorship, donations or support in kind. Please join us in 2026 and be part of a winning team.”

Airbourne is scheduled to return from 13 to 16 August, 2026.
