The application is for four three bedroom dwellings at Brookfield Farm in Eastergate Lane, including the upgrading of the existing site access.

A planning statement said unit one would be retained by the applicant, who plans to live in the cottage.

"The scheme design has adopted an holistic approach with an emphasis on ecological enhancements, road safety and aesthetics that are entirely appropriate to the site's Sussex rural location," a planning statement said.

"It is consistent with the applicant's history of environmental improvements at Brookfield Farm which covers an area of approximately 18 acres.
