Gogglebox telly star Stephen Lustig-Webb who was forced to pull out of Dancing on Ice after breaking his ankle is said to be ‘fine’ and recovering at home.

Stephen, who runs two hairdressing salons in Sussex with his husband Daniel, was practising his ice-skating for next year’s upcoming show when the accident happened.

Speaking at the couple’s salon in Hurstpierpoint today (Tuesday), Daniel said Stephen was ‘fine’ but his leg would be in plaster for some months.

"He went to A&E in Portsmouth when it happened,” said Daniel. “He was in there for two days but he’s at home now. His leg will be in a cast until January.”

The couple announced on Instagram earlier this year that they were quitting Gogglebox when they said: “After 10 years on the sofa with Gogglebox, it’s time for new adventures.”

Stephen joined TV presenter Lorraine Kelly on ITV's Lorraine earlier this month where he confirmed his role in Dancing On Ice and spoke about his past skating experience. “The last time I was on the ice I was 13 – about 40 years ago.”

Stephen, whose day job is a professional hairdresser, runs hair salons in Storrington as well as Hurstpierpoint with Daniel.

The reality TV pair launched ‘Lustig & Webb Salon de Coiffure’ in Mill Lane, Storrington, in June. Both have been professional hairdressers for more than 20 years.

Stephen had been due to perform on Dancing on Ice in January alongside other stars including Ricky Hatton, Ryan Thomas and Claire Sweeney.
