Urgent sea wall repairs to begin in Selsey next week
Urgent repairs to part of Selsey's sea wall are set to begin next week, to help maintain the safety of the public footpath running along the top of the structure.
The work is due to start on Monday, August 3, and is expected to last for around seven days.
News of the project was shared on Facebook by county, district and town councillor Donna Johnson.
She wrote: “Urgent patch repairs to maintain the health and safety along the 'footpath' on top of the sea wall is beginning shortly.

"These works will be carried out by Suttle Projects, as Chichester District Council’s appointed works contractor, with specialist sub-contractor support.
“The work is just north of Drift Road in the north to Lifeboat Way in the south, with work commencing the 3rd August for approximately seven days.
"The works will utilise a small storage compound in East Beach Car park.”
The beach will remain open throughout the works, although sections of the footpath on top of the sea wall will be temporarily cordoned off to allow the repairs to be completed safely.
The maintenance work follows concerns over the condition of parts of Selsey's coastal defences, with Chichester District Council having previously approved funding for urgent repair work to protect the coastline.
