Members of Pett WI were treated to an extremely entertaining and informative talk on Friday October 18 from Kate Tym. Titled ‘From Pen to Bookshelf” Kate outlined the process through which an idea in an author’s head (or even in the Commissioning Editor’s head) is turned into a book via copy editing, proof reading and typesetting. The talk was laced with several amusing anecdotes and was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.
