Police called to 'serious collision' in Cuckfield

The Sussex Roads Policing Unit reported the incident on social media just before 11.30pm.

A spokesperson said: “We are currently responding to a report of a serious collision on Staplefield Road, Cuckfield.

“The road is closed in both directions. Please avoid the area and take alternative routes where possible. Colleagues from the ambulance service are also on scene.”

The road reopened this morning (Sunday, December 18). Police have not yet confirmed any casualties.
