Bognor Regis and Littlehampton MP appointed Shadow Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport
Bognor Regis and Littlehampton MP Alison Griffiths has been appointed Shadow Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport by Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch.
Mrs Griffiths, who was first elected as the constituency's MP at the 2024 General Election, will take on responsibility for rail as Shadow Rail Minister. She has also announced that she will be joining the Conservative Whips Office.
The Bognor Regis and Littlehampton MP said her new role would involve holding the Government to account over the performance of Britain's railways.
She said: “I’ll be the Shadow Rail Minister, holding the Government to account for delivering reliable, affordable rail services that work for passengers, taxpayers and the workforce, while helping develop our Conservative transport plans for the future.

“We’re lucky to have three stations in the constituency, and I’m delighted this new role gives me another opportunity to make your voices heard in Parliament on an issue which touches nearly all of us.
“My first duty though remains my role as MP to the residents of Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and our villages. I will continue speaking up in Parliament, raising the issues that matter to us locally, and always working to make our area an even better place to live.”
